to jeep or not to jeep, that is the question || manila destination wedding photographer

one of the philippines MAJOR modes of transportation is the jeepney.

here is a brief summary of the jeepney to get you up to speed:

Jeepneys are the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines.[1] They were originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II[2] and are known for their flamboyant decoration and crowded seating. They have become a ubiquitous symbol of Philippine culture.

one day i will ride like this off the back..when i dont have a full backpack and good shoes. :)

this is one of the 2 major ways i get around, if i’m traveling alone. the other is the tricyle:

Motorized tricycles are a common means of passenger transport everywhere in the Philippines, except on busy major highways and very busy city streets. The Boracay Budget Travel website says of the motorized tricycle, “The tricycle is the most popular means of transport in small towns and cities, especially in the rural areas.”[1] Upload from September 20, 2011

i personally LOVE these modes of transportation. i dont think i did when we lived here the first time. i barely traveled them.. fear maybe. now? dude..i’m the queen of the road. :) i actually would like to own my own personal tricycle. totally pimp it out..DUDE can you imagine?? altho i’d have to figure out a round about way to get to Gentle Hands as you can’t go on hiways or major roads with them. :)

if you come visit me, you will most definitely have the pleasure of these fine modes of transpo.

i support the Philippine economy - i rides jeeps and trikes. :)

all photos are NOT mine. that’s what google images is for. :) all credit due to them.
